Crossing the Bolshaya Nevka River next to the Cruiser Avrora, the Sampsonievsky Bridge (Сампсониевский мост) is a 212-meter, seven-span bascule bridge that dates in its current form from 1958. The Prachechny Bridge (Прачечный мост) crosses the Fontanka River, where is meets the Neva, linking the Dvortsovaya Embankment and Kutuzova Embankment. The name of the bridge refers to Prachechny Yard (Laundry Yard, where the palace laundries were located) next to the Fontanka. The bridge, one of the first in St. Petersburg to be made of stone, was built in 1766-1769 (architects I.L. Rossi, T.I. Nasonov), when the stone embankments of the Fontanka were laid. The three-span arched bridge is made of granite. In 1926-1928, the bases of the piers were reinforced (engineer B.D. Vasilyev). The bridge is 40.9 metres long and 14.3 metres wide.

Kantemirovsky Bridge (КАНТЕМИРОВСКИЙ мост) crosses the Bolshaya Nevka River to connect the right bank of the Neva River with the Apothecary Island, linking the Vyborg and Petrograd districts of St. Petersburg. It is the most recently constructed drawbridge in St Petersburg. It is located at Kantemirovskaya street and connects Vyborg Embankment with the prospectus and Medics Aptekarskaya waterfront on Apothecary island.

The bridge is named for the eponymous street, in memory of the liberation from German occupation in December 1942, the train station Kantemirovka in the Voronezh region.

In the years 1817-1821 a pontoon transportation was built here which existed for a long time. A permanent bridge was built between 1979-1982 by project engineers BN Brudno, BB Levin and architect AV Govorkovskogo and VM Ivanov.

At the beginning of the 19th century, the bridge was replaced by a pile and moved west to align with Stroganov Street (now street Academician Krylov). This crossing was eighteen spans. The span on the left bank of the Big Nevka was a drawbridge with two wings that were raised hand winches. Between 1847 and 1853 there was built mnogoprolёtny wooden mullion-framed bridge to the swing span. The bridge was rebuilt in 1906-1907, 1911 and then again in 1935.
