Apothecary (Aptekarsky) Bridge over the Karpovka River 9.24.2014

Translated from Russian Wikipedia:
The Apothecary bridge (АПТЕКАРСКИЙ мост) crosses the Karpovka River in St. Petersburg, connecting Petrograd and Apothecary Island. It is located at the source of the Karpovka along the Petrograd and Aptekarskaya embankments of the Bolshaya Nevka River. The bridge is 22.3 m long and 96 m wide. It is the second widest bridge in St. Petersburg after the Blue Bridge.

A wooden bridge was built here in 1798. The existing reinforced concrete bridge forms a bridgehead area for the Grenadier bridge across the Bolshaya Nevka. They were built at the same time between 1974-1975 by engineer BB Levin and architects LA Noskov and PAAresheva.
