From Saint Petersburg encyclopedia:
The Lavrsky Bridges are two bridges over the Monastyrka River. Received their names from the Alexander Nevsky Lavra. The First Lavrsky Bridge (1-й Лаврский мост) is located in alignment with the main entrance to the Lavra. From 1712, there used to be a floating bridge, from 1718, a hoist one. In the 1830s a timber single span arched bridge on brick abutments was built. In 1924 the arches were replaced with wooden, and in 1949 - with metal beams. The present bridge was built between 1970-72 by engineers А.I. Rubashev, А.D. Gutzeit, and architect L.А. Noskov. It has reinforced concrete decks, and the girder is decorated prefabricated arches with granite facings. The length 18 meters, and the width is 9.5 meters.
